Website Development for a Calgary Commercial Interior Design Firm

It was the summer of 2025. Vincent Design had an online presence, but the website felt more like a placeholder than a digital home. It was too simple, static, and unengaging for a firm that creates inspiring interior spaces. Courtney Vincent, the founder, knew her team needed something fresh — a site that reflected their creativity and credibility.

That’s when I stepped in. My role was clear: design and build a website from scratch that truly told Vincent Design’s story. Not just a pretty homepage, but a full UX/UI experience that worked for potential clients, showcased the team’s projects, and could grow with the business.

I started with research. Looking at competitors, studying the market, and building personas helped clarify what visitors expected — and what they weren’t getting yet. I mapped out user flows, making sure someone landing on the homepage could easily browse projects, learn about services, and quickly find a way to contact Courtney’s team.

I wireframed directly in Framer, building the structure as I went, testing layouts on desktop and mobile. We had only static photos, so I crafted a hero animation from still images, transforming them into a dynamic introduction that immediately captured attention. Every photo was retouched, every detail considered, so the brand felt consistent and professional.

One of my proudest contributions was building a CMS for projects, people, blog, and services. Now the Vincent Design team can add new content without a developer — whether it’s a new portfolio piece or a blog article. This makes the site not just a launch moment, but a living tool that can evolve with the business

The design itself followed a mobile-first approach, ensuring it looked and worked beautifully across all devices. Accessibility was baked in from the start, so everyone could experience the content comfortably. SEO best practices were woven through every page, preparing the site to grow its online presence organically.

Two days after launch, Courtney’s first words said it all: “The website looks awesome.”
The new Vincent Design site finally feels like the company it represents — creative, approachable, and built to evolve. It’s more than a redesign; it’s a foundation the brand can build on.

Results

The website now delivers a seamless, mobile-friendly experience that feels true to the brand, drives engagement, and empowers the team to manage content effortlessly through a custom CMS. The redesign turned a simple static site into a living, evolving digital showcase for their work.
